Rupert Murdoch remarries at 92, his fifth marriage

The tycoon is ready to walk down the aisle for the fifth time: announced official engagement to Ann Lesley Smith.

"I was afraid to fall in love, but I knew this would be the last time. I'm happy."

I was very nervous," he confided to New York Post. The wedding has been set for the end of the summer and there is no doubt that it will be pharaonic.

The couple will live between California, Montana, New York and the United Kingdom. "We look forward to spending the second half of our lives together," said the tycoon.

Rupert Murdoch has four ex-wives. The first was the flight attendant Patricia Booker, a union that lasted from 1956 to 1967 from which his first-born daughter Prudence. A few months after the first divorce, the tycoon said yes to the Scottish journalist and writer Angela Torv from whom he had Lachlan, James and Elisabeth.

Two months after saying goodbye in 1999 Murdoch was already ready to go down the aisle with Wendi Deng, 38 years younger. With her he had Grace Helen and Chloe. Their relationship ended following a scandal when Wendi's affair with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, a close family friend and godfather of their first born, hit the headlines. In 2016, the entrepreneur married actress and former supermodel Jerry Hall, fresh from her divorce from Mick Jagger, whom she had met only six months earlier.
