Anthony Ciccone, older brother of the pop star Madonna, has died at the age of 66. The news was learned through an Instagram post by Joe Harry, brother-in-law of Anthony Ciccone. No statement, however, from Madonna.
According to reports from People, Madonna would always have had a complicated relationship with her older brother due to some of the latter's problems. It seems that the singer had visited him while he was in a rehabilitation center. Apparently, Anthony Ciccone, who is presumed to have died in Michigan, also reportedly stated in 2011 that he was homeless.
After this interview, another of Madonna's brothers, Christopher, would assure that Anthony had returned home and had recovered after spending time in a rehabilitation centre.

For Madonna it is certainly not an easy time. Recently, the singer had been the victim of heavy comments about her physical appearance, on the occasion of her participation at the Grammy Awards. Madonna had also responded to the comments with a long post on Instagram, in which she recalled how throughout her career she had never worried too much about others' judgments about her person.
